October 2022 Update
A lot has been happening since my last update in August. Most notably, we had a big private screening for over 100 friends of the film. We were lucky to have 4 of the main subjects of the documentary for a Q and A discussion after the film. It was a really powerful evening with lots of emotions, tears, and applause. This was just a big milestone for the film as it continues to gain momentum and funding as it gets closer to being premiere-ready.
Fundraising!
Our website now has a direct donation button where supporters can quickly and easily donate to the film. The final fundraising goal is $170,000 for the following budget items:

E&O Insurance: $10,000
Festival Submission Fees: $2,000
Publicity and Marketing: $3,000

This week I am in Los Angeles, networking with potential funding partners for finishing and distributing the film.
Press!
I started getting some press about the film. KGNU’s Dave Ashton invited me onto his show It’s The Economy and Yellowscene Magazine did a short profile on me. I’m incredibly grateful to be getting such positive feedback about and attention towards the film.
Congress!
There was a congressional hearing featuring Anne Lee Foster, who testified about her personal experience being harassed during the Proposition 112 campaign, and the sabotage that Colorado Rising endured. These are two of the major story threads in Fracking the System and I am excited to send the film to the committee when it is complete. You can watch a video edit of the hearing here.
Networking!
In my research, I discovered the Halt The Harm Network - a network of over 22,000 people around the country dedicated to ending fracking. They are a key audience for the film and I will be speaking in their upcoming Summit on November 16th. Details on their Events page.
The finish line is getting closer! We are currently submitting to film festivals for a 2023 world premiere as we continue to polish and prepare the film for its launch. Staye tuned for more coming soon!
